Michael Forever Tribute Concert

The Planet Jackson Team has been conflicted about publicizing the Michael Forever Tribute Concert. On the one had, we fully support any and everyone who seeks to celebrate the life and works of Michael in a positive manner. On the other hand, the concert comes smack in the middle of the Conrad Murray Manslaughter Trial; family and fans are understandably consumed with the daily court room occurrences. There is also the concern that Michael's three children would be exposed to media and public scrutiny while they are still in the process of healing following Michael's passing; Michael was adamantly opposed to having his children in the public eye outside of a handful of tightly controlled instances. He wanted them to have, as much as possible, a normal and happy childhood. Other objections concern the way the concert was marketed to fans, the chosen location, and the acts tapped for the tribute. More than one of the acts have been disrespectful to Michael and his family. Still and all, the Wales Tribute is a part of the story of Michael's Legacy and we have chosen to post photographs and information regarding it as an archival exercise. --Planet Jackson, Editor
