21 June 2011 Madame Tussauds Hollywood, CA
THE MICHAEL JACKSON EXPERIENCE
Madame Tussauds Hollywood opened its first ever limited engagement exhibit, THE MICHAEL JACKSON EXPERIENCE, today with a tribute from Michael's brother, Jermaine Jackson.

The Hollywood attraction will host the exhibit straight from Europe.  It features three situated along Hollywood Blvd., next to Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, will host the first-of-its-kind exhibition, direct from Europe, featuring three Michael Jackson figures from various stages of his career, including his years with his brothers as the Jackson 5, The Invincible Era, and his last era, This Is It.  The three figures represent over $1 million worth of sculpting in and of themselves, not to mention other memorabilia.  Visitors will be permitted to approach the figures and to have their pictures taken with the King of Pop in all his stages.

Madame Tussauds commissioned the artwork for the official poster invite from Michael's longtime companion, Bubbles the Chimp.  Bubbles painted the abstract artwork poster from his Florida retirement home at the Center for Great Apes; Madame Tussauds will contribute to the sanctuary on Bubbles' behalf.

Fans, performers, media, and well-wishers will gather outside the childhood home of the Jackson clan in Gary, Indiana on the second anniversary of Michael's passing.  Michael and his family lived there until 1969 until they moved to California.  The Tribute will be held from 5-8pm with a candelight vigil at dusk.  The mayor, Rudy Clay, will be present.  He has vowed to hold annual tributes to Michael's memory alive. The City of Gary as well as several prominent proponents of Michael, have proposed for several years to turn the family's former home into a museum.  Perhaps these annual gatherings will show the world there is truly support for a myriad of museums for the world's greatest entertainer.
